An excellent, all-round double boot. I have used my Nuptse for three seasons all over the Sierras, including ice climbing and some mixed climbing as well. They are extremely warm, waterproof and comfortable. My friends with hardshells have now all bought them and love them. They work best with strap on crampons as the toe welt is very narrow and difficult with autos, especially when you have to remove them often. They are incredibly durable and resist crampon abuse well. The liners are excellent, except that the bottoms of mine cracked from running around in hard snow at camp. While stiff, they are far more flexible than hardshells. I will be wearing them in Peru and Argentina in 2008 and expect them to continue to work well. Quality is excellent. I sized mine a size larger to allow for wearing extra socks (liner, and 2 medium-thick pairs). I highly recommend these over any hardshell!

An awesome shoe, for a couple months. I have never had odor issues with shoes, ever, but these shoes were an exception! Whew. The insoles come out, and I would wash them, but the odor continued. In addition, the back of the heel fell apart within a season and caused some terrible blisters. I love how they look and feel, but for the price and the life-span, perhaps another pair would be a better value!

An amazing shoe! I fell in love with these shoes the minute I saw them online. I had to order a 6W size since they no longer had a 6M but they fit well with a Dr. Scholl's insole. AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!! To start off with, I am not a high heel kinda girl. I'm barely a low heel kinda girl, so I was skeptical as to the comfort and support spoken of in other reviews. These shoes are wonderful. I'm not a dancer, but I've been cast in a community theater production as a Hot Box Girl and needed something with a heel to learn choreography in. I never once worried about the heel breaking on me or my arches hurting. These are easily as comfortable as my favorite sneakers. I'm thinking about buying them in another color. I did follow others' advice and ordered wider than my normal size, so go big or go home!

Although my foot is a little wider, I ordered the size I normally wear in shoes (7). The boots fit well and are comfortable (although not sure if I'd be able to wear thick socks with them). They break in quickly and seem to be made very well. I like that they are very distressed.

Already wrote a review, but wanted to add to some others concerns. This is my 2nd pair in black and I also have them in tan. The boots last forever! The heel does have to be replaced after a few wears depending on how hard you walk, but if you replace it with a rubber heel, the heel lasts 2 years of wearing them almost daily. The material may look thin, but I have had no problems with it. I have had the original boots for over 6 years. The chain on one boot on all the ones I have loosens and the strap falls, but if you hook the clasp to the top of the round hoop instead of the bottom it no longer falls. I love this boot and wanted to own another pair just in case they discontinued them.

Almost perfect! I love the look and flexibility of the shoe. However, the elastic on the strap was very tight and I needed to stretch it by stuffing the arch. It's improved a lot, but I still need to ease my foot out sometimes to relieve the spot where the stitching is. My next pair will not have a strap. Otherwise, it's great!

ALL straps are adjustable! For people who cannot figure out these shoes, just pull on the straps... they are all adjustable and the shoe is very comfortable once you figure that out. I like these a lot. Don't really remember what size I bought or if they are true to width, which probably means they are. I like Keen, but this is a nice change. Keen is sometimes a bit rugged for everyday wear.

All Clarks run large, this shoe the usual 1/2 size longer but also, a little wider than a AA shoe usually is. I had to add holes to the strap, just as other users noted. I really like the way the sandal looks, very pretty on and different. It is comfortable but hasn't enough padding for walking more than intermittently - if I wear it when I have to be on my feet for 2-3 hours, I feel it in my knees (not so with my Mephisto's and some Clarks I've owned in the past).
